Kiana Elam-Buchanan, CPA

After graduating from George Mason University, Kiana quickly attained her CPA and became a force in the public accounting industry. With almost 20 yearly of professional experience, with major brands like E&Y, PwC and Deloitte, she decided to start her own firm in 2025 and Summit Advisory Group was born.

Coming from a lineage of entrepreneurs in the Roanoke Valley, she is passionate about utilizing her experience and expertise for the benefit of small businesses, non-profits and hard-working families.

Adrian Buchanan
COO
Adrian is a proud graduate of Virginia Tech. He started his professional accounting journey in 2011 with a small government contractor outside of DC, where he was very hands on with most of the company's financial operations. In 2018, he quit that job to start a service business and has been successfully self-employed since. He is an avid investor and well adept at balance sheet management, and prides himself on creative approaches to financial problems.

He is very passionate about helping small business owners and individuals in various ways.

This is not our only business together. Started in 2019, we also own and operate a real estate business with a focus on rehabilitating damaged homes in Virginia. We have a combined 31 years of experience in various corporate and entrepreneurial roles, and we can't wait to put it to use for you!
